   Take airplane is fast and efficient, take hwy #17 bus to San Jose, then you can take light rail to SJC airport, book southwest.com ding fare for $49 one-way to LA, from SJC you can take Amtrak or bus to LA too.

   Call 1-800-555-1212 and ask for Greyhound or Amtrak Reservations. They’ll give you the toll-free #, then when you call it, the company agent will give you the times…ask to have a schedule sent to you in the mail…or get the address of the closest one to you and go there and pick up a printed schedule.

   From Santa Cruz to LA there are trains, planes and buses. The train (AMTRAK) takes you along the Pacific coastline. Maps are on-line with fares.
