We’re Driving To Santa Cruz Ca From Nebraska Over July 4th. I Need Inexpensive Ideas Of Things To Do There…?
Posted on August 27th, 2009 by Dot
We will be staying for 10 days, staying with family in Roseville California part of the time. Are there any cheap (but decent) hotels in Santa Cruz for one night stays so we can spend time with our kids on the beach? We are planning one hotel stay on the way there, and the way back, possibly in Nevada. Any travel tips to save money appreciated…Thank you!

Stumble it!

There is a lot of good fun to be had in Santa Cruz. Most of it is obvious but there is one MUST SEE for me. Every time I go anywhere near the Bay Area I have to see the “Mystery Spot”. No water slides or roller coasters but some very odd things. Trees growing in a spiral and visual things that blows my mind. I don’t know the cost but it isn’t free. They give tours of the place and answer questions. I must admit I haven’t been there in years but I am assuming it is still open.
Enjoy your trip.
BTW, if you exit 50/80 at West Capital Ave. in West Sacramento, on the south side of the highway there is a Denny’s, a convenience store/gas pumps, a Starbucks and in the same building with Starbucks is a BBQ place. It is small but it serves some very good chow. I have attached a site with a map of the area. The pointer is for Starbucks but as I said the BBQ joint is in the same building.
