Well, UCSC is very very liberal, and about 30 minutes from San Fran..
UCSB is pretty far from SF, as it is on the central coast of California…it is also muchhhh more conservative.
University of the Pacific is like, 2 hours away from the beach…it isn’t very “pacific.” It is in Stockton, and isn’t as reputable as the UCs.
At UCSC, the focus is on undergraduate education….and upper division classes are SMALL, usually about 13 students…TAs aren’t allowed to teach classes, so you will always have access to your professor.
