Pay it or get your car booted…..which is a LOT more expensive.
Sometimes you have to ask yourself, “Self, do I want to be right, or do I want to be happy?”
If you have to be right, then good luck.

They will get you if you don’t pay it. Trust me, I’ve tried fighting them and it does not work.

I know this is bad, but take it as a life lesson. You can try to not pay the ticket but they will find a way for you to pay it. Either they tow your car or put a boot on it it will cause you more of an inconvienance than spending the $20-$30 on the ticket.

    Pay the money!!
I had a similar situation where I had a permit from work to park overtime at the “2HR parking only” slots, but got a ticket anyway. I wrote them, explaining that I had a permit and got no answer. Thought I was fine. I moved to another part of the state. FIVE YEARS later, I started getting dunning letters, stating I needed to pay the ticket. After more letters, calls, etc., I was finally threatened with “booting” and/or arrest. YIKES!! I finally gave in and paid — it just wasn’t worth it anymore.
Then again, maybe your fight will go better?!

maybe you should just not pay it, wait until it goes into warrant status and then go to jail for it. what are you thinking?

You might as well dispute it, where big chances are it will be dropped anyway

Try to get a hold of the supervisor over there and explain it to him. Be calm and do not be aggressive when you call as that will get you nowhere. Explain the situation and see what happens from there. You can contest it in court too but see if this works first. Good luck!

If they said that you couldn’t move your car around,i don’t think that this is one that you can win..But either have to pay,or fight it longer..But may cost you alot more in court costs..Sorry..Good Luck..I have a ticket(My first one)I’m dealing with myself, but with mine,i can’t fight..

It stinks, but honestly, the only way to handle it is to pay. The only reason “traffic court” exists is for the city to make money. No one has ever won a parking ticket case.
It’s all a sham, my friend, A stinking sham.

Life ain’t always fair. The ticket may be annoying, but it’s nothing to get upset about. Pay the fine and move on.

Sorry if I don’t know who the SCSC parking officer is.
Is this though a police department or is it a private non police group like a hospital security or a universtiy parking.
What can happen to you varies as to what type of place wrote the ticket.

Either pay it or take him to court and let the judge tell you whether to pay it or not.
If you ignore it it will come back to haunt you.

Check the rules – were you legally parked? If not – suck it up, be an adult, and pay the ticket.
If you were legally parked, you can fight it. But don’t expect to win unless you have overwhelming evidence supporting your case.

Fight it. If you moved the car, it is in a new space and thus you get a break.

First, it depends if this is the campus police or city police. If it’s campus parking and transportation, they will either eventually charge it to your student account or never even follow up on non-payment. Take that as you will.
If it’s the city, you better just pay it now.
    Or, appeal it again.

The ticket should indicate where the car was parked an at what time it was there. If you can prove that you had moved it, for it. I was in a town the other day, and received a ticket for parking in a handicapped spot. There was no sign, or painted indication. I was told that the first spot on any block is automatically designated as a handicapped spot in that community. I had no way of knowing that, and have no intention of paying the fine. I do not foresee ever going back there anyway. $50.00 for not knowing a nonsense law? BS!

man i would be d*mn pissed. i would rip that ticket up in front of the cop’s face…if u intend to go to jail….but a more logical thing to do is to take to the city council or the police department to discuss the reason for your ticket. and if u can, then plead not guilty in court and explain your side.

If it is not that much – just pay it and move on as they have already rejected your appeal.
