Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

Beach Boardwalk in Santa Cruz

Close to downtown is the Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk. Next to it the Municipal Wharf. The boardwalk celebrated it’s 100th year recently. Some one won a 100 year pass to all the rides.

The main beach in Santa Cruz is also right in this area. It is a great family beach, yet you’re close to bathrooms as well as food and drink. The Boardwalk has NO admission. You just pay for rides individually and food. this is a good people watching area…there are benches along the boardwalk to sit and enjoy!

It’s a wonderful place to visit. They have a great merry-go-round where you can throw a ring into the clown’ s mouth. They lose thousands of rings each year as souvenirs…try the classic roller coaster, too.

And of course there are newer thrills such as the drop zone…why do people ride these things…you’d have to pay me not the other way around… to each their own.

They also have cotton candy and salt-water taffy for yummy treats. And you can walk to the Wharf for a good restaurant for dinning.
