Is this the ugliest Safeway in California?
Yes I think it is very ugly. On the Eastside of Santa Cruz we only have one large supermarket which is this Safeway.
Last year the only other market on the Eastside, Albertson’s, closed. True there is a nice little market named Shopper’s Corner but it does not always have the best prices.
The other Safeway stores in our area are located on the west side of Santa Cruz or on 41st Avenue. Both are not convenient to those on the Eastside.
Those two stores have been remodeled and look great. Our Safeway looks like a store from the 70’s…it’s small, dingy and cluttered. When will they ever remodel this dump?
I know we are not supposed to complain about the shopping (or lack or it) because we are blessed to live in Santa Cruz…but this is ridiculous!
