Is It Likely For Me To Be Admitted For Ucsc?

I go to a prestigious high school in California, ~3.44 Cummulative GPA, played varsity football 4yrs, Active Eagle Scout, only, SAT’s are quite low at 1470. What are my chances of getting into University of California at Santa Cruz?

Stumble it!

They aren’t going to look at your cumulative GPA, only your “UC gpa” so it’s hard to say…however, based upon those stats, I would say you don’t have a great chance. Your GPA is a little below the average and your SAT is far below the average.
It’s a bit tough to tell, it looks like your GPA and SAT scores are below their average but you do have great extracurriculars. A few thoughts:
Is your GPA weighed or unweighed? According to the general UC website the average weighed GPA for the school is 3.69. The unweighed average is likely to be lower. You also might want to retake the SAT or look into taking the ACT (which some people apparently do much better on.) And if all else fails go for broke on the essay, and hope you get lucky…
egh, i’d say a small chance, honestly
