Stumble it!

I’m assuming that you got into those two colleges and need to make a decision this month?
If you haven’t already done so, visit both of those colleges as soon as possible. If you have spring break next week, that would be the ideal time to go, because it is likely NOT spring break at those colleges so you will see the campus in action. Both campuses are very different environments, and you need to see it for yourself to make a decision. I can’t tell you what the right college for you is. If it was my choice, I would go to UCSC, because the campus is beautiful (probably the most beautiful in California), the weather is nice and cool, and I don’t particularly like Southern California.
Something to keep in mind is that UCSC does not give out letter grades unless you request them (I think). They instead write a summary of how well you did in the class. If you plan on getting an MBA, this can make things a bit difficult for the application, especially for colleges outside of California that may not have much experience admitting UCSC students.
Overall, both colleges will offer you a decent education. The main difference is the environment, the location (do you want to be close or far from home?), the types of people there, and the grading system.
