For Cal Poly, reasonably good. For UCLA, probably not very good. The UCs and CSUs have to take community college transfers by state mandate; beyond that, they are pretty picky about which students they will admit. Since UCLA is a more competitive school than UCSC, and you are a decent, but not incredibly outstanding student, I’m guessing you will have trouble transferring there.

Your chances are good for both! I just got accepted to Cal Poly for fall of 09, im still waiting to hear back from UCSC. I’m sure you have a fair shot at UCLA but it all depends on your major and if its highly impacted!
And btw- it is possible to transfer from UC to UC, I just left UC Merced and just got accepted to UCSB as a transfer for fall of 09. All things are possible- just make a great attempt at them!
Now if I may ask why are you wanting to leave UCSC, and would you recommend it to another student?
    Good luck!

You have a pretty good chance of getting into Cal Poly, your GPA seems to fit with their transfer stats. UCLA probably won’t happen becasue 3.4 is low to transfer. You have a shot, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Part of the reason is that UCLA is required to reserve many of its transfer spots for community college students who get priority of transfering UC students. So, good luck and hopefully you get into both!

It’s unlikely to transfer from UC to UC.. plus the transfer GPA to UCLA is about 3.8 and alot of those tranfers have TAG which is a guarantee that they’ll make it in as long as they meet the prerequisites [for community college kids only]
I’m not sure about Cal Poly.. talk to your guidance counselor because not alot of people are interested in transferring to a cal state when their at a UC.
