Disturbing The Peace Citation In Santa Cruz, Ca. Need Help!!!?
I was cited for So i was arrested and convicted for a drunk in public charge a few monts ago in IV in santa barbara. I live up north so I did a Zona Seca referal and completed the program so my drunk in public charge was dismissed and instead I got a Disturbing the peace infraction. Then a month ago I moved into my aprtment and had 4 friends over and we were playing video games to late and to loud and the neighbors complained and an officer showed up at my door and gave me a 415(2), (dtp). But then the next i felt bad because I want to have a good relationship with my neighbors so i went over and talked with them and they were super nice and just asked that we keep it down past a 10pm. But now I have to deal with this legally and I was wondering if there was any way to get out of this second infraction because the neighbor signed the citation under the officer’s name as the ” arresting officer if different than the citing officer” and we weren’t having a party. public defender?

Stumble it!

Well dude, if you have a court date you need to take them with you and have them explain the whole situation and that you have resolved it and that they now know that they will not have any problem. 9 times out of ten the judge will dismiss and you wont have to worry about it… Good luck
you should have learned the first time , keep it down means;KEEP IT DOWN!!!!
Let me help you with your question:
I got a ticket for disturbing the peace. The complainant and I have spoken about it, and we’re all good today. What can I do to avoid prosecution for this offense?
It’s not an infraction, it’s a misdemeanor.
The first answer wasn’t bad – ask your neighbor to go with you on the date on your ticket and tell the judge they’re not interested in prosecution any more. That ought to be the end of it.
If you were on probation for the first you have a problem if not talk to the judge and maybe take a written notarized statement from your neighbor or if possible have him go with you to smooth it out.
Too bad! You need to take your medicine like a man. Punks like you need to be taught a lesson to straighten you out.
