Cute Birdhouses in Santa Cruz
Found these birdhouses on a colorful fence in Santa Cruz. It’s a clever idea to line up a series of little houses for our friends the birds.
There’s a mocking bird near my place that goes after my cats. My cats have never caught a bird, thank God. But this mocking bird knows they are not his friends.
He also makes a major production out of getting ready to drink out of a pan of water I leave out for all the critters or he’s ready to take a birdbath.
He squawks very loudly over and over before his drink and bath. Guess he thinks it will scare away the cats.
I’ve seen raccoons, skunks, and possums also drinking out of that pan. I change the water daily for my little critters. It’s nice having wildlife around.
