Ahhhh, i grew up at UCSC and up behind there on Empire grade are some outrageous caves. They are a little hike to get to, but the most famous is IXL ( The gateway to hell) Dont let the name scare you! It goes for ever. The only thing is there are some pretty tight squeezes, so an overweight person is not reccomended. They have tried to cover the cave up numerous times but you can still get in. There are some great caverns inside way back in that you come to and some rooms you can't get into but you can see inside of. i'll do some research on the net and see if I cant get back with some decent directions.
