I want to attend a UC college that is fun socially, but also high ranked and has a good English Major. Which UC would be best? Right now I’m thinking UCI or UCSB, because I think UCLA/UCB would be too hard to get into and UCSC is too far away from home.

Anybody who knows school in Sta. Cruz for adults teaching Japanese language.
Currently I have to travel to San Francisco only to attend a 1.5 hour Japanese class. It’s quite a long travel but if I can only find a lesson nearby which is convenient after working hours, I’ll be happy to move.
