I’m looking to take up surfing lessons and live in Mountain View CA. I know there are surf schools in both Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay so just wondering which would be the better one to try. They’re both approximately the same distance from my house.

Is it safe to swim at the beach in Santa Cruz, CA?
On Thursday, the high is going to be around 74-75 degrees, is it ok to swim at the beach with that temp, or will it be dangerously cold? My family is planning on going there to swim if its safe… Thank you!

My grades were pretty much horrid, I had a D in one of my classes which I already told them about and they said my status will remain intact. But the rest of my grades were not fantastic either, my overall GPA was a whopping 2.2 -__- Any thoughts on my chances?
