There was a very interesting letter to the editor
in the Santa Cruz Sentinel today. It was titled “Find a way to allow dogs downtown“.
The author had bought a condo into the downtown area only to discover that there is a ban on walking dogs on the main downtown street, Pacific Garden Mall or [...]

This small home above in Santa Cruz has installed solar panels…bet they are saving lots of money.
My next door neighbors have solar panels on their roof. We’re all trying to away from oil from the Mideast so going solar is one way to help.
California even has a rebate for solar as well as energy [...]

Although I like dogs a lot if I could only have one pet it would be a cat. This black cat is my cat, Kato. I found her when I lived up at Lake Tahoe many years ago. I noticed that many stray cats in the Tahoe area were black [...]

The [...]

This one is on the eastside off Seabright a few blocks. They decorate it very nicely at Christmas time. I think they even won a decorating contest.
And here is another cutie right next door to [...]

I always tell people you can drive around Santa Cruz and completely furnish your home with free stuff left out on the sidewalk. Here is a fax machine and a small chest of drawers for free.
I’ve seen stoves, futons, desks, tables and more. In Japan they put things out once a year but [...]

I live in a great community. It’s a smallish town on the Monterey Bay called Santa Cruz in the state of California. This photo above is of the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf. Great dinning on the wharf and you can see sea lions and fishing is allowed. It’s a nice [...]

The Santa Cruz Beach-Boardwalk recently celebrated 100 years in operation. It has great modern rides along with the nostalgia of a wooden roller coast and a wonderful merry-go-round where you can catch rings to toss into the clown’s mouth.
You can buy cotton candy, ride in bumper cars and sit on a bench for [...]
